Always glad to have new people aboard here, Dave. Post a bit about yourself while you're at it - location, interests, etc. Sounds like you've been spikin' rails a long time.

Hey, thanks for the welcomes!
Well, I grew up in Philadelphia riding the Reading Lines before I can remember. My family is from Pottsville, PA and I would often ride 3 RDC cars out of the Reading Terminal to Reading and change to the single RDC to Pottsville. Oh, if I only had photos! I also used the Reading Lines for other destinations and often. I lived within blocks of the then Pennsylvania Lines, which is now Amtrak's Northeast Corridor and often watched in awe as the GG1s went screaming past. That was the beginning of my love for trains. From 87 to 89 I worked for Septa on the trolley, elevated and subway power lines, furthering my addiction.
I recently relocated to San Antonio, Texas and had to downsize, considerably. I no longer have a layout, but I was just about plan one out in some small fashion. I started testing, cleaning and lubing my locos when I pulled out my Chattanooga GP-20 that I had since new. After a cleaning and lube, I went to give her a test run around my E-Z Track loop, it moved about 6 inches and stopped with the motor still running. A gear post snapped off, which is what brought me here after a fruitless search for parts. Until yesterday, I had no idea that the Power Torque motors were so unreliable.
My interests are nuts, bolts, wheels and wires, mostly trains and old bicycles.
