Here's an interesting pair...

Seller says the Keebler 50' Plug Door is AHM, which I believe I have seen in the past...however that blue 40' GTE Box Car is a new one for me. Anyone know its story?

Tooling looks like Kader-Bachmann-Lionel...maybe? Though AHM had that 40' Box Car for a time too. Hmmm....[?]

The 50' Boxcars: Tyco VS. AHM subject posting is a great help in identifying your boxcars.
John
I believe someone else identified the GTE boxcar as an early Athearn.

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out.
"I love your catenary!"
Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

The GTE may well be an Athearn, but looking at those couplers made me think it might be a Marx product? Marx did produce HO "scale" products for a while with dummy knuckle couplers.

Marx did produce knuckles, but they were grossly oversized.

I'm the one who won that lot - the GTE box was retrofitted with Kadees (with missing/cut trip pins). I actually got that car for the owner of my haunt, who retired from the telco industry here in KY. And I *thought* he said GTE, but it turns out I was mistaken (GTE did most of the telco in the immediate area, but he actually wokred for AT&T / Bellsouth on the boundary fringe [Oops!]... but he was tickled nonetheless. Traded me a Shark and an unopened Pennsy operating Dump car for it (not so much "traded" as much as "refused to charge me" after I gave it to him [^]).
