Didn't know is there was a thread about recent finds,so I started this one.

I haven't been buying any trains in the past few months, but today I found a mint Tyco,Blue Coal hopper at a not so local train shop.
This was one hopper that I have had a tough time finding around here, and to find one unrun with box for $4.00 I just couldn't pass this one up.

So what are your most recent purchases?

Nothing from my local hobby shop but, from a recent train show:
I bought a Varney 4-6-0 steam engine. $10.00. Didn't run. but it's all there.
I'm planning on adding some detail parts, dress it up a little.

I haven't stopped by the local hobby shop in a month or so but I plan to. He always has a box or two of used stuff that normally has some Tyco in it. My recent ebay finds has been piggyback flat cars...

I recently "found" a new train hobby shop near my work, they're HITW ( hole in the wall ), but have some nice used stuff like Varney, Revell, and old Mantua, plus new stuff. I bought 5 cars last Friday from them that were used. I'll definitely visit them again.
