i have just obtained a general kit,which i am stripping down,and would ask the question,did they make a wood load for it ken

Hi Ken. There is a wood load cover for the General part number 7722. It has a pin on the bottom that goes in the hole on the top of the tender..
Here is picture of one that is on one the generals I have.. Carl

never mind locating a plastic wood load Make a platform the size of tender & get some sticks & make a REAL wood load

I think there might be one on Ebay under Mantua Locomotive, Steam or Loco. I remember seeing something like that being offered.
