Yeah, I was searching on Modeltrainyards.com tonight, and saw that True Value hardware car. I marked it to watch to see how high it'd go. Thanks for the update! Wow, more than I would have paid. I know they're hard to find....right? Ought to post those to the Tyco Rare car search list....

The problem I have with paying that much for an item is that anytime I do, I almost always find it cheaper, or worse, get it as part of a cheap lot.

AMC Jerry - I saw the two True Value auctions come on the same week. I bought both. This has ended my search for True Value & Bekins flat cars as I now have 3 sets of each. The True Value seldom show up on ebay. As for the rare car search list, I don't know if they qualify for that. I will buy 1 more Bubble Yum truck at some point...and that will end that collection too.

Funny, The 2 True Value flats I bought sold within 57 cents of each other!

Burlington77 - I know what you're sayin'. I paid dearly just to end my "harder to find" piggyback trucks search. My first True V piggy come in a boxed lot with 3 other, very common cars. I got all four for only $14.68 + S/H.

MicroBen, We'll find you a loader on Ebay some time..

I now have 3 of the True Value, Tropicana & Bekins flat cars. I made up my mind a few days ago that 3 is where I stop. I can make up 4-1/2 Bubble Yum flats...

I will pick up a couple more of the less expensive, more common Burlington Northern and Sea-Land flats some time.

I think we're going to have to arrange an intervention for Walt. He's clearly addicted.
