I'm experimenting with two-tone and multi-color paint schemes. To that end, I'm working on painting a cab-over in red and black with a white stripe between the two. The stripe is from Microscale- it is a decal- while the paint is Dupli-Color GM Red and GM Black.

The livery is Carolina Freight Carriers-

Specifically, I'm using the Freightliner here as the prototype-

The cab is done. I'll post pics as soon as I get the custom decals on the trailer.

Brian- I lived in Greensboro for almost the better part of 18 years. I remember seeing lots of those trucks up and down I-85.

Nowadays, they've all gone the way of mergers. Kinda funny how trucks- which were the alternative to trains- have ended up the same: only a few big players on one end and then very small outfits on the other. Like Class I's and Class III's.

Here it is...

One of these days, I'll get some photos in daylight. Unfortunately, I do work in the evening hours- not the best time for photos.

I just downloaded a picture from HANKSTRUCKPICTURES, yesterday. The CAROLINA , White Road Commander. I want to model it. I bought an HO scale WRC tractor at a train show 2 weekends, ago.$1.00.
Are you going to try to reproduce the logo on the cab? I remember the CAROLINA trucks on the highway many years ago.

Unspoken expectations are premeditated failures.

I have some door emblems- but I need to reprint them a slight bit larger.

I've also had to re-shoot the trailer. The Testor's German Silver set kinda funky so I stripped it off and went with a Valspar professional grade white paint. Now, it looks like one of the later trailers- but still very nice and has an even finish.

RANT...
To be honest- I'm not sure why I even use Testor's anymore. It never seems to deliver the finish I want with its gloss paints. Flat paint? Yeah- Testor's makes good flat paints... but the finish is far from even with their gloss paints.
