It's a beautiful day...

For The Chessie Steam Special:

The powerful lighted Pacific and tender, hauling 4 smooth-sided passenger cars around a 48" x 66" oval, is a sight to behold. 6 figurines, 3 metal vehicles, 3 brass lamp posts, and 2 building kits add railroading glamour.

Well that's how Tyco would've described this set and I tend to agree. Gobsmackingly splendiferous also comes to mind. There is nothing about this set, not to my liking save for the bonus street lamps and cars which seem redundant according to Sam. Of course, used car salesmen never lie! Working extra hours to pay off a slew of IHC sets has been tiring but worth every second. Tyko Rating: 4 & 3/4 stars.

Thank you, Brianstyco. Yes, a Tyco by any other name would smell as sweet!

And the kits are neat, so I won't deny they didn't influence my choice of sets but I would've grabbed the Chessie even if bundled with paper cutout buildings! The real fun will be trying to decide which ones to install on my layout for there's no way they'll all fit at first. I'll hang on to the others until my layout expands with room enough.

£60? Daylight robbery!

It's interesting to compare the Tyco model with the IHC one. Tyco's looks much longer. Or it could just be my wonky camera!
