I bought a misc. train lot of stuff for under $5 on Ebay, 4 engines, some cars, pieces of two other engine chassis's, etc. Turns out one of the 3 Hustlers is a Lionel, bad body but chassis is ok, motor turns over, missing bottom plate. Rubber band drive unit motor is good, looks like the 3rd won't run at the moment. Also got a BN Tyco diesel, maybe a GP20, not running , either, missing a wire to the pancake motor, but the motor and gears look in good shape. Rolling stock is mostly junkers, a few savable pieces of Tyco, Mantua, etc. Not a bad deal for $5 plus shipping! Especially the LIonel Hustler chassis. My 2nd gear drive 4-wheeler! Had a scare though, my wife's books didn't arrive last week, she called the post office Friday, just came back from out of town, both her books and my trains were on the porch, both boxes opened, but all contents there. Might have been delivered to the next street over. Not sure if the USPS got them back, or if the neighbors delivered them themselves, but either way, my wife and I got our packages , even if opened. I'll post something this week, too tired to take pics and post them now. ready for the bed. All for now,

Sounds like a nice junk lot. And I say "junk lot" with the utmost affection.
As for the delivery....I've about had it with the PO and UPS. I get my mail at a PO box. They're supposed to put a note in the box when I get a large package. They often forget. It's not just me. My brother is an action figure collector/trader, and he has the same trouble. You have to practically beg for your packages. Sometimes you'll think a package is late, and it turns out they just forgot to notify you. It's sitting on the shelf behind the counter. UPS is no better. I once came home to find my neighbor's package on my front porch. It was from Radio Shack, and large, so I know it was something scanner related for him. He's a 90+ year old scanner junky. What if that had been delivered to one of the dopeheads across the street? He wouldn't have got his stuff, and I'm sure neither Radio Shack, UPS nor anyone else would have taken responsibilty.

Finally some pics! Been busy of late, finally took some tonight. Here's all but two engines, the BN Tyco 5628 and a Hustler are missing.

Mostly chassis-less cars, but the engines made up for it.

Wondering if this Dow Caustic car is a personal build, never seen one like it, the tampos are turning yellow and drying out. Never seen that color on a tanker before, either. I like the Tyco logging car, appears all the parts are there.

This is why I REALLY bid on the lot, the three 4-wheelers ( I have the 3rd at work, to work on it, it doesn't run ). The BN Tyco pancake motor has one of the brush contacts and brush missing, so it'll need repair, although the motor runs when I stick a metal rod down in it and power it. I think the rubber band drive Hustler runs the best out of all of them. The Lionel St. L Hustler needs some work, it's sticking and binding and not running but slowly, if at all. But for $5, it was a good deal for all, I think.
