Picked up these four this morning at an estate sale. When I saw the Spam box car I knew I had to have it! Paid $20 for the set. A bit high, but I was afraid if I waited to get them half price on Sunday that they would be gone. Thought they were neat and will look good with my other billboard box cars. Anybody know the era they are from; 70's 80's 90's? I googled them but did not see much about them.

Thanks, glad yall like them too! And I see I'm not the only Monty Python fan here. Thats what I thought when I saw it, Spam, spam, spam and spam! Yes, there is a old time 0-4-0 engine I got for another $10. But unfortunetly, I did not notice until I was home that one side of it is warped like it was exposed to heat. I wondered if it really went with the box cars, I guess so.

And now for something completely different....
Nice find! I don't think 20$ is too much for those. I'd pay that in a second.
Also, Dinty Moore beef stew is a favorite of mine. I used to take a couple cans when my wife and I went fishing/camping. If the fish weren't biting, you could at least have a nice bowl of stew. Sad to say, I ate a lot of that stuff.

Actually spam was made during WWII. It was a food ration. It is bits and pieces of pork . I had it when I was a kid. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't eat it now. Some people fried it like bolony. My dad said they ate a lot of it during WWII.
