Little known fact is the real Wanderer is a 100+ year old loco borrowed I think from the B&O museum in Baltimore Was completely taken apart & rebuilt! Top speed was reported to be 45mph Not bad for a 100+yo loco hehe

The wanderer is accually the william mason which starred as the general in the 1956 disney film the great locomotive chase with Fess parker. It was restored at the strasburg railroad shops here in lancaster county pa only a short 10 miles from me. for the wild wild west film. This loco has quite a bit of history to her, there is plenty of info on the net and pictures also. I had the link but i lost it i will post when i find it again.
