Yeah, looks like alot of action. Why is it , though, that trains are ALWAYS getting the runaway-around? Last movie with a major train star, it was carrying a nuke or something after being hijacked, wasn't it?

did you recognize the paint schemes of the locos? I saw some as KCS Rio Grande & Santa Fe

Those Locos Wern`t Rio Grande, They Were Wheeling And Lake Erie`s (the Railraod it Was Filmed On) Play On The Rio Grand Scheme. And The KCS Engines Were The AWVR Gray Scheme.

WLE (WE) does keep the Rio Gande scheme (including text) on some engines. Otherwise, they keep the font and change the lettering. Pretty slick, either way.

They run through my neighborhood, south of Pittsburgh. I've seen the KCS scheme in the yards, both here and in Akron, but they don't come by us very often.

I just got the bluray video in the mail today. I wanted to see the extras and because lots of the footage was from my home area. It mentions that they had 4 examples of each locomotive and that they really had their own little railroad during the shooting. The the local RR used the trackage at night to allow the filming to go on during the days fro I believe four months.

I'd like to have the locos done up for me in HO scale someday
Good movie too Need to watch it again
The logos on the locos resemble the old ATSF Warbonnet paint
