how hard is it to find the poles for them? Thinking of going back to Denver Sat for a FurCon Yes I is one =P RMFC & buying the 3 Tyco trolleys I saw at a train store one was the Broadway one up above & 2 others

Not sure about replacement poles, as the Tyco versions were plastic. I think they're not too hard to get. Would be easy enough to fake/make one, I think.

back & yay Got all 3 trolleys 
 in order of price $10 $8 & $8  The one on the far right is abit damaged & the gears are crooked 
 needs abit of work & cleaning

MB, There's nothing wrong with those gears,they are diagonal cut and noisy as all hell. I have 1 of those trolleys painted as a Brighton Beach car,with a spare drivetrain. They both run better in one direction than the other. I forget who the maker is though.

Yep ! the one on the right was made by Silvine. Its drive is the same as the early tyco drive in appearance. Tyco,s drive was made with a plastic frame. Silvine used die cast metal. Both only drove one axel. tyco at first made it as a cable car without the trolley pole. Bowser makes troley poles. frank

That's interesting, Frank. Did Mantua buy the tooling from Silvine? The sideframes and shell are the same, aside from the extra rooftop detail. Whose was first?
