Anyone have any idea how I can find out what some of this Tyco stuff I have is worth.
I've got a few sets that are new in the box unopened, spirit of '76 is one of them. I've also got a TON of other engines and rolling stock....

Great question about the value of this old Tyco stuff; the answer seems to be market-driven by eBay prices. There isn't a good price guide for Tyco Mantua (if "good" and "price guide" even belong in the same sentence!) and Model Railroading publications, while posting auction results for what they deem more collectible tinplate O scale, have shunned we Tycoholics like we're lepers. Cheer up, however, as the "one man's trash is another man's treasure" rule seems to be kicking in for Tyco fans. The slot-trucks already command a premium and even brown-box trains (long regarded by snooty-nosed collectors as pond-scum) have been spiralling upwards in value. I know the "on any given day" auction-listing status of Tyco is frustrating for a baseline but, right now, it is what it is. By the way, the pre-Christmas prices realized by sealed sets, Spirit of '76 sets in particular, was surprisingly high. So, "es wird immer besser!" Magnolia Academy
