I have a couple bachmann plus sd45s I'm trying to chage couplers to knuckles. The couplers mount on engine with bracket and screw holding. When I put the knuckles on the're loose. The horn hooks work fine. I was wondering if anyone had any easy solutions. I tried shimmiming and still didn't work, also went to kadee site and their way is a lot of filing and cutting. Does anyone know of any easier way

Thanks Ken, but still no luck. The EZ mate is what I have been using. I think the thickness of coupler is what the probelm is, but this is confusing me.

hi jeremy if they are loose ie up and down movement, the couplers are to thin,if the movement is in and out the centre hole is to big,you then need a reducer ring,if you cannot close the coupler box then its to fat ken

Hi there. I had the same problem with a Bachmann Plus B23-7. I used E-Z Mate couplers and found they were too loose in all directions. A very small washer from the hardware store worked perfectly.
