we all know that 00 gauge is bigger than ho gauge,its not when it comes to handrail posts,the 2 on left are 00 gauge (uk) and the one on right is bowser ho gauge (usa),the larger of the 2 00 gauge is standard for large locos,other for small locos,ken

can you imagine how small the brass coach/car handles are
