New member from Australia
Thursday, July 22, 2010
Hi all fellow railroad modelers. Peter HANN from Bordertown, which is a small town in South Australia. About 10 miles (approx), west of the state of Victoria. I'm a mature "HO" USA modeler of 52 yrs. My #1 interest these days is the former branchlines of SP in Oregon, although i must admit my fleet of SP diesel loco's is outpacing my models of modern shortline models.
I hope i don't bore anyone else here with my ranting. I'm also attempting to build model loco's of the current Albany & Eastern rr which operates on the former SP Mill City (oregon), branch, but not building my layout as per the prototype. My rr modeling consists of many cheaper brand rolling stock (Athearn "Bluebox kits: Rounhouse kits: IHC: some basic Bachmann & a few tyco freight cars. These are as yet to be upgraded with KD#5's & New freight trucks as this is my most enjoyable part of the hobby. Kitbashing & modifying hobby models is fun!!!!. Many Thanks for allowing me to join this group & ranting on a little. Peter HANN. Australia
Many Thanks. Best Regards. Pete H. Australia

Hi, Peter, welcome (officially?) to the Tyco Forums, from a simple member. I've been a member over a year now, and it's been great fun on here. Glad you're aboard for the ride. Not boring us at all, we like hearing about different people's interests. Like, why a guy from Australia who lives in a very dry, arid country would like a mountainous, forested location for his railroading pleasures. :) Anyway, pleasure to have you aboard, and join in any time. And thanks to you, I know more about an SP 415 locomotive than I ever did before. :)

Hello Peter ; Frank here. Welcome to Tyco. So your one of those young guys . I remember your young age. Been there done that. As to the SP I'm a little further east of that. PRR, NYC, CNJ, LV, RDG, L&NE, D&H. There more in my neighborhood. Ken ( Catfordken ) and I share a quant little railroad the Pennsylvania Great Western. There are two branches of this road on either side of a little pond, the Alantic. Ken is outside of London, and I outside of New York city. See you around. frank
