Hello everyone. I started looking at this forum and spotted "Mantua" messages. Is there a seperate forum for that too ? I happen to be new at H.O. trains, and just strted looking into all of this. I just inherited my uncles collection of H.O. trains. I remember looking at some of his trains in the 1960's when I was a kid. he never got rid of anything really. Being that he was raised in New Jersey, most of this collection (but not limited to) seems to be Mantua. He probably drove over there and bought it for all I know. I'm happy that the majority of it is in the boxes, and the rest I look at the bottom of the car to see the brand. If there are Mantua fans who'd like to talk/inquire about my Mantua trains, by all means just message me or PM or however. I'd love to learn about what I have. Hope to meet some of you soon. Thanks.

Hi, Axis, welcome to one of the most friendly Forums you'll ever log into. As far as separate, no, Tyco and Mantua are talked about on here as the same, whether USA or Hong Kong produced. We appreciate them all, whether a 1950's all-metal Shark, or a plastic C430.
Far as learning what you have, hope you have a camera, because people here LOVE to see photos of your collections. So much better than just words. Feel free to start posting pics of your collection at any time. Diesels, Steam, rolling stock,we appreciate them all. We even have forums for the "other" makes - Athearn, Bachmann, Lifelike, but we generally talk and post about them all.
So, welcome again, and hope you find us useful , helpful, and friendly. We usually are. LOL.

Hope I clicked to reply in the right place...Thank You "all" for the kind welcome. And I do have a camera..I'll get busy with it. So..AMC...do you actually have a Gremlin w/a 256 Cu.In. ?? I have a 78 King Cobra. Anyone else got the Mantua China Circa 1993 NFL Super Bowl Express ? I have about 15 cars and the Engine and caboose. Was that the only year ? I'll post pics later..just curious bout that set/series from Mantua. Thanks again guys, this will be fun.
