Hey Folks,

As I said in my introduction post, http://www.tycoforums.com/tyco/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8685 I have two tyco engines. Some people requested photos so here they are. My favorite is the Alco 430. This one is from the early 1970s. The PowerTorque engine is having some issues but I'll post about that in the repair area.

I was dismayed when I took this out of the box of train stuff after years of being put away. I discovered it had taken a fall and the front piece had broken off. I was completely stunned to find the missing piece also in the box. A little super glue later it looks great. It is sitting up on some piers that make up a little test area on a new layout I am doing. (More on that in the next few days.)

The other engine I have is the Santa Fe GP-20. It runs great but I think I have one drop too much oil on it. I'll try to deal with that shortly.

Some time soon I'm going to completely re-paint this one into the colors of a local short line that we have near our house.

Hope you enjoy the photos.

Very nice. Our friend who goes by the name microbusss will be drooling over the BN. That Santa Fe is the first engine I repowered with a cd tray motor.

Cool engines. They should make a nice starting point for your layout roster
