Here's an odd little "Booger" (That was "Shay" speak, since this this looks like something SG rebuilt from a dumpster find!)

Anyway, I may convert it from a bobber to an 8 wheeler!?

Since you started the week with a caboose, here's one that comes with some friendly advice:

Aw, why'd you want to do THAT? Aren't there enough 8-wheelers running around already? Looks nice and weathered to me!

Anyway, here's my COTW, a vintage '50's Piker kit, a short passenger car made from wood and metal parts, with paper interior decorations, even has a commode and shower! Pretty neat old kit, seen these sell as kits on Ebay for $40-50, I got this at the Timonium show for $10 built. Kinda crudely built, but maybe can be fixed up better. Not sure what I'd pull it with, maybe an 0-4-0 or something.

Leave that bobber alone, Gareth! LOL. BTW, have your Tyco motors arrived yet?

Burl:

AMEN to the sentiment on that caboose!

AMC:

8 wheeler cause my MRR dates from 1930 and by then Bobbers were outlawed in the US an Canada for operation...

Anybody: can someone suggest what the componets of that caboose are from? Like where's the chassis from?

Caboose!

This is a Roundhouse Canadian Pacific Drover's caboose, where Beaver wranglers ride while taking the poor furry little critters to their gruesome and untimely end. Canadians, eh? They seemed so nice!

hi tykowolf,at the mo about 5 trainman,13 premium, weight wise not that much, its detail thats lacking on the cheaper ones,i buy them as and when they appear on ebay, its the schemes i am more interested in,would like to have one of every rr,money permitting, and thats the other difference,$16.99rrp or less for trainman,$35.99 rrp for premium,i must admit since the mid 2000s they have both doubled in price and rising,so will for my pockets sake try to get the trainman, for the rivet counters the premiums are most likely the better, for those who run em trainman are more robust ken

That's great to know, catfordken. After hearing some Atlas aficionados dissing the Trainman brand, I figured it was a marketing con. Now I get it's more like P1K stuff - solidly built but with less breakable bits! Sounds good. Appreciate the info.
