Ok, I stuck my log into it, so I guess I better move with it! Here's my first official post to the new Forum catagory AOTW. I found this while cleaning up, and I can't honestly say where I got these from, either Ebay or a "real" live auction. But it's been in storage, so I forgot about it until a few weeks ago when I brought it out from attic storage. I actually have a few more accessories as nice as this one, but I'll save them for the next weeks coming up. Load up the pics!

This box is SO nice, has so little wear on it. It's near mint. I doubt the car and set has ever been out of it. And I doubt I'll ever take it out, either. Here's a pic of the inside :

Absolutely spotless, not a trace of sawdust inside, either! LOL. I need to find a place to display this item someday, shame to keep this set box inside another box.

So, that's my first MIB AOTW to post. Lets see your stuff!

That is my absolute first accessory since I got one with the action Freight Set that came with the SF C430.

Like AMC, I have no clue where this one came from. I'm gonna say ebay. I bpought it just to study the workings of it. But I must say the box art is a hit too. Sorry not the best photo of it...

Interesting accessory, walt. I love all the old box art, especially Atlas. The passenger station box art is my favorite. The old art from boxes and catalogs is more inspiring to me than the plain photos of the products that all the manufacturers seem to have switched to. I love the "Trainland" they seem to be images of, where steam and diesel locomotives of all roadnames live in harmony, all farms are in the Midwest, mines are in the desert, and every railroad crossing is a two-lane highway in the middle of nowhere with operating crossing gates.

"Highly realistic" is a term to be applied here, right? LOL! LIke the log dump box art, who would put a log dump on dry land, in the middle of someone's open field, with nothing around it, and only hold 3 logs, rather than an industrial processing plant by a river or accessible road / rail system? It looks idyllic on the box, but so laughably implausible for any economically viable business. I can't wait to see the farmer turn THOSE thick trunks into fence posts. LOL!

Well, the farmer is actually Paul Bunyan. After he logged all the land off, he decided to farm it.
