does anyone have any experience with the new Bachmann dcc 4-8-4 steam engines? there is one on ebay that i really like (part number 50804, & engine number 3784), but i now nothing about the newer ones. can a sound board be put into these? how expensive would that be? are these reliable? thanks, Jerry

I have a Bachmann Niagara and i´m pleased with it. The tender on mine is prepared for a speaker. Mainthing is the better motor than the pancake in earlier ones.

The loco you want has DCC on board already, maybe you can add sound from Digitrax:
