Anybody here own a UP SD-24? According to Tony's site, its an Atlas. So in other words, it ain't PT is it?

Hi RJ:

As I remember it, the early ones were Atlas but that quickly changed... I do have an early Atlas UP SD-24, it was made by Roco in Austria,,,

Looks to me that the body is from Atlas but has a Tyco drive system.

Yes it's a Powertorque. You have a nice example. Lots of them on the 'bay have one or both plows missing as my UP does.
I just bought one that was MIB with the slipping pinion gear. The guy at the LHS thought it was a custom paint because it was a Comin' Round the Mountain SD24 and very shiny. I new it had the gear problem when I bought it but at $6 for the engine and caboose in the box was too good of an offer. It's such a nice example that it can sit on the shelf at that price.
