Tyco's "Comin' Round the Mountain" SD24 seen here hauling an interesting load of mixed freight...including some cattle truck-trailers, and 3 green Kenworth cabovers. This was taken only minutes before the SD24 popped its pinion gear.

Chops dancing with a train to get this photo of a CNJ Alco. The engineer through an apple core at him, as he passed. Major cool Tyco action, there, RP.

A derailment occurred in the process of videoing TYCO Burlington GP20 #5628. Luckily, no cars nor employees were injured.
(By the way, this is not a set-up photo....my Burlington caboose disconnected from the rear of the Tyco freight train and ended up being pushed by the locomotive around half of RETRO TYCO before it derailed at the turnout track.)

That snap of the Star Kist with the green Maine coast line behind is a great shot! I like the hand rails on that spanking red Cola tanker. Looks like the boys will have a fine time climbing, hand over hand. A classic piece from the Tyco Car and Locomotive Works!

In the 70s, I suffered quite a loss of rolling stock and engines by having track near the edge of my table. I never forgot that and made sure my present layout did not have active track near an edge... I don't think Robbie Knevil could jump off my train track to the floor now...

Edge of the World. Yeah, I've wasted a few. It's easy enough to create a small back board and dangerous spots. I'd photocopy up some of that Mega Cool Tyco City and paste it up for a building backdrop. Also makes for an interesting visual for those great videos.

Wow, don't see too many of those polyoxybenzylmethylenglycolanhydride cars running around, very nice, WKS. Otherwise known as Bakelite it was the first synthetic plastic. Nice PC flat!
Prior to polyoxybenzylmethylenglycolanhydride there was this stuff called Gilsonite, which is kind of like solidified crude oil. Picked up a load of this stuff in Utah, on a freezing night, and ran it through the Rocky Mountains on its way to Mexico, where it was used for making newspaper ink, back in the days of newspapers.
Tipping the scales at 22 tons, it was a very slow and tedious journey through the mountains on I-70, 10 mph up and 10 mph down the other side. Wished they had shipped it by train.

Plenty of fruit and vegetable products for the residents of Western Maryland. Nice shots all day but late afternoon views are preferred to view train action.
