I haven't used that product before... but looks like it would be great for the hinges on the doors inside my house!
FWIW- I've used model radio control car gearbox oils for the gears on model trains before. Seems to work well. The denominator is that any lubricant needs to be compatible with plastic gears. You should be able to find it at a local hobby store. Is that where the product above came from- a hobby store?

They have it listed all over the place on eBay. The main thing is that the lube be Plastic compatable or else you will have mush for gears. Like Johnny Kane, I also use the Radio Car ceramic grease made by Tamiya. Works great. It is designed to work at Very high speed Gear boxes on Radio Control cars. I also use Labelle Lubes they have many types of lubes and they have needle tips so you can get into tight areas. Carl

The little red cap looks just like Labelle's. It sounds good. Also might like to try another product Frog Snot, (sorry) , for traction tires, Happy Easter!

It tastes like chicken gravy.
I actually have no idea, but I use Super Lube oil & grease, in addition to Labelle products.

This stuff is great, particularly on plastic parts. The grease is thinner than Labelle's, so I use this wherever slinging isn't an issue.
A lot of people also swear by automatic transmission fluid, which I haven't tried yet.

I use ATF as my standard gear lubricant. It's plastic-compatible, meant for higher-temperature applications so it's safe for motors, it's nice and thin so it wicks well, and it's super cheap compared to standard model railroad lubricants (a quart runs under 4 bucks and will last forever).

I used to use LaBelle, but when I went to get a new bottle my hobby shop guy gave me "XL" from Phoenix Unlimited. He says they bought out LaBelle and it's the LaBelle product under a new name. It seems to work just as well and it's also plastic compatable.
