Hi guys and Ladies
I just bought a couple items the other day. One is a 4-4-0 V&T RR Genoa Says Pocher Italy on it were these made by them ?? The other is a United Tokyo Japan brass 2 truck Climax steam engine. Looks like it is oil and water tank on it ok. What would these be worth? Any ideas? Thanks

The Virginia & Truckee 4-4-0 was built by Pocher in Italy under contract for Rivarossi, I believe, then imported by AHM. They're actually pretty common models, but as usual condition is everything.

The brass Climax is far more desirable. Old brass has a following even if it's not in the best of shape, especially if it's esoteric steam, which a Climax certainly is.

Ideas of value? Well, as I've said in another post, they're only worth what someone will pay. Figure twenty bucks or under for the 4-4-0 but a hundred and a half or better as a conservative estimate for the Climax.
