A nonpowered Delaware and Hudson RF16 by Tyco. The paint scheme is too pretty to pass up. It says made in the USA on the bottom of both trucks that snap-on. The sideframes are of the three-leaf spring kind which is the second version from Tyco and means this is one of the earliest RF16s. Later D&H Sharks had a four leaf spring design. It came with a matching shell that was missing the battery box on the engineers side so this was probably from a dual loco set. Interesting that all horns were present.

New here... this GP-20 is my only TYCO unit. I pulled her out of storage just before Christmas to show the kids what I played with as a child. I don't recall exactly when I received it. It was part of a set which I received new, probably as a Christmas or birthday gift, probably around 1980 or so. As far as I can tell, it's definitely a post-1978 TYCO.

As you can see, it's a little worse for wear but not bad. It's missing all the handrails (not sure it ever had them, though I bought it new... I probably lost them promptly after receiving the set). It also doesn't have a dynamic brake blister (yet). The front steps have taken some damage as well, probably as a result of one of my "Gomez Addams" phases.
Soon, I'm going to work on dressing it up with a DB blister, MU hoses, handrails, body-mounted Kadee couplers, a snowplow, windshield wipers, and a fresh coat of paint, probably in this scheme:

Note: I'm not going to convert it into a GP38. That's just the model I used to work out the color scheme. You can see the rest of my color schemes here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bgtwindad/sets/72157623490502006/ I have a new one coming that features the logo and "CH&FR" in large print.
The CH&FR refers to my fictional Chestnut Hill & Frost River Railroad. You can read (some) more about it on my blog: http://chfrrailroad.wordpress.com
OK, I've prattled on long enough...

Nice Geep. Cool paint schemes. You might want to keep this one stock for posterity, and do up another super detailed GP20.

Hmm... Hadn't really considered that. I'd like to hear your reasoning, but I don't think this thread is likely the place for the discussion. Before I whip out the Pine-Sol and Xacto, I'll start a thread somewhere else here to discuss...
