Tyco Fans,
I just got another Mantua Alco 430 in SF. It didn't run at first but used the Kadee electric cleaner on the wheels, some oil and a break-in period and it runs pretty well. I looked at the 4301 on the cab and noticed that all three of my Mantuas have different fonts. Some of the varieties can be seen on the 430 page on various railroads. Why do you think there were so many different fonts used on basically the same model. This one has the narrow 4301 that fits between the ends of the window. Even the curve behind the cab in the War Bonnet is different the the other two. I only have a box for one of these Mantuas.
