I purchased an HO Scale Ambroid kit from a local train show. Markings on the box are
K-2, Stock Car, MKT. The kit appears to be complete except for the instructions which I downloaded from HO Seek.net. On the bottom of the box is an ink stamp:
AERO HOBBIES
1319 Santa (?????) Boulevard
EXbrook 5-0128

Anybody recognize the Aero Hobbies name?
Also, on the box is:
Ambroid Co.
Box 30
Weymouth 88, Mass.
Based on the above markings, about how old is this kit???

Unspoken expectations are premeditated failures.

I bought a helium car Ambroid kit for $12 at a local train show last year. Certain Ambroid kits sell for decent ( $20+ ) money, like the Helium car on Ebay, rare to sell under that, others aren't as popular. I'm into the helium cars, though, so that was a steal for me. Saw one assembled and detailed sell on Ebay for over $50 last month.

I have a few of the kits. The ventilated box car (watermellon car), and the old style 3 door baggage car. I like the baggage because of the 3 doors.

I have a few as well, one of them 1 in 5000 Automobile car is a bit musty, mostly the instructions... so I seperated them. I'm hoping at build time the combo of sanding/sealing and painting will take care of that?
