I've noticed an auction I'd REALLY like to bid on, but since restocking the paypal account requires 5 days via bank transfer, and it's over in 3, that's not an option. Does anyone here use the Bill Me Later option, and how does it work, specifically, how do you PAY it back to them? I've been reading thru the fine online print, and they just can't spell it out plainly up front (whine!), as to HOW you are to pay them - Paypal, electronic check, ??????????????? THey just don't say! Why do they make it so hard to find out anything? Anyway, wanted to see if anyone has used this option, and what the plus and minuses are, pitfalls to watch out for, etc. Thanks for any responses.

I use e-check and it works for me Pay Pal take it out of my bank account. You can still bid the seller will have wait for his money and that has never been a problem for me.

Yes, apparently it is up to the seller. It just so happens that this auction I'm looking at has it as an option - but after Googling BML and finding out the horror stories already, I think I will NOT use that option. I'll just try to find a faster way to transfer money, OR just delay the payment to the seller until it clears.

Hey Jerry:
Unless it explicitly says payment must be in "X" number of days. Just initiate payment via PP and tell them the money is being transfered by PP and please be patient....

Ok, so basically you have TWO accounts at the SAME bank, right? I have two SEPARATE accounts at DIFFERENT banks, there's no easy way to transfer money between them that I know of ( Wells Fargo/Wachovia and B. of America ). Or I would have done that already. I asked both, and doing a transfer would cost $25 each time. LIke a wire transfer. So my other option I guess is to open another account at my primary bank to shuttle money back and forth, then. Bank doesn't hassle you about low balance? I rarely keep more than 100 in my old Wachovia account for Ebay now. That's all I use it for.

you do not have to have the money in your account to pay with something with paypal. just pay for it out of your bank account with an instant transfer. no need to wait to get payment like when people use a e-check. instant transfer happens right then. e-check takes a few days to clear. i never have understood why people use an e-check. i just delays shipping.

Hey Ken, Yes, those banks and credit cards cause people a lot of grief but the people depend on them to live. People beLIEve they can afford something just because the bank will give them a loan for it. It's a big money gimmick , high interest rates, ridiculous late fees etc.. American's love to spend money they don't have (like Congress) Our banks has caused soo much misery contributing to our economies downfall.
If I can't buy it with cash (other than a home) I don't buy it until I save the cash for it. It's just not worth it...
