Does anyone know who made the model in this auction:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/HO-Scale-Triple-Dome-Tank-Car-TEXACO-Sprung-Trucks_W0QQitemZ300395857979QQcmdZViewItemQQptZModel_RR_Trains?hash=item45f0fd083b
Also, multidome tank cars don't seem all that common, since they would be for segregating different fluid commodities, so can any tell me if there is a prototype?
Thanks, -Gareth

I think it was made by Athearn. Not sure if their is a prototype of this car. I would believe their were baffle's inside the tank like those in the larger truck tankers.

I know you can get tripple dome tankers from both Athearn and Bachmann.
Don't know of a specific prototype. I'd think the single domes would be much more common with the advent of unit-type trains. Triple domes would be useful for delivering less then a full tank to customers. So long distence transport would probably be done with single domes.
