Hello eveyone new here I need help getting a part I just got a real nice rivarossi 2-8-8-2
but it is missing the screw that holds the front drive unit on the bottom. any help would be nice. It is the model that has the wire from loco to tender ok

Steve - have some 2-8-8-2 parts somewhere - will look for one.
Can you lo0k at HOseeker.com , [bottom of the forums list], find the 2-6-8-2 (Y6B) diagram, & quote a part # off the diagram, if you can find the bolt. That helps get the right one.
My Y6B's are all Loco pickup so not sure if uses same bolt as tender p/up model.

Steve - dug into my IHC parts catalog & I think the part you need is P-160-037, Metal Pivot Screw. As you can see, its a specialized screw. Notched RHS, threaded LHS in the
picture below. Also show a picture of where it goes, between the 2 'U' plates.
Unfortunately I don't have one, but they come up from time to time on Ebay when a couple of sellers of Y6B Mallet parts include them in the front truck frames they are selling from tear downs. You need to look real hard at the pics &/ or, send a query.
If you are missing the metal Pivot Screw, how are you for P-160-027, Front Metal Universal Joint?? - Its lurking vertically to the right of the pivot plates in the 2nd pic. It may have dropped out.
I think I can do one of those.
