I will be re- making 2 videos that i have on forum with YouTube Links - They are Tyco 960 and Tyco 928 crossing videos. Due to the EVIL - GREEDY - BASTARDS at Warner Music Group who are threatning to sue me because i used songs or bits of songs to enhance video for everyones viewing pleasure at which no profit or money has or will be made from but which songs i purchased cd's of songs. So if you upload a video of anykind DO NOT USE any song from a cd by WMG or you may get same email letter i got.
TYCO #928 VIDEO HAS BEEN PULLED OFF YOUTUBE -THIS HAPPENED AT 9:15 PJM EST 1-19-10
TYCO #960 IS STILL UP - i MAY PULL IT EVENTUALLY TO RE-EDIT THE SOUND AS IT IS NOW SILENCED AGAIN

Well Brian, rarely do they actually follow through with their threats to sue, but when they do...well the little guy is left with barely a dime to his name.
Best to just sweep the videos under the rug, for now anyway. They can always come back.
By the way, I've heard that disabling the ratings on your videos helps to avoid YouTube's copyright programs. But you didn't hear that from me!

Sorry to hear that Brian. I have several vids set to private atm due to muted audio.
Youtube seems to have gone down hill a little. There are a lot more ads than there used to be and a lot more restrictions. This probably all started when Google bought youtube. Youtube was great back when it was an indepentent website. It's just not the same anymore

I'm not a big Youtube user, but even I have noticed changes.
Sad to say, but I use Youtube to keep up with some of the musical trends. If my students mention something I'm not familiar with, I can look it up there...or at least I could. I've noticed that a lot of the videos get taken down.

The later video has now been removed - Y'all are right about it not being the same - and like most of you -i too search for music on their a lot for songs i haven't heard or someone tells me about. WMG seems to be the worst about copyright isues though. I am reading up on copyright laws to get better informed. I had previously emailed Youtube back at first of this year claiming fair use of copyrighted material under copyright law 107.

Hopefully another video site will emerge soon. Youtube will probably end up taking the same path as Myspace eventually
You could try using google video to upload vids. I know its the same company, but I don't think it's as strict, as it tends to link to multiple video sites.
OH, and for music: www.grooveshark.com Free to listen to music and no account required
