I have been digging thru my storage for my trains from when I was a kid and also stuff I have bought over the years. I came across this set in its original box.
Cleaned the rails and it seems to run pretty good.

this is some of what I have to still go thru.

but I am finding it little by little.

Thanks, Russell

I collected Hot Wheels at one time, now I only buy them and matchbox cars if I like them. I am trying to keep my hobbies/ collecting to one thing..slotcarsmodelcarstrains ... see one word.
My car room is full and I actually have to put the HW cars on the ceiling now.

Nice Russell ! I like the Rock Island trains, the Rock River run near my uncles home in Sterling, Illinois. Used to go there in the 70s -mid 80s. I have never owned any Rock Island train pieces though...

I like the Hot Wheels Redlines & Regular wheel Matchbox cars. Those were the ones I had as a kid.... I have 31 mint boxed Regular wheels Matchbox.

I spotted some AFX racing in your pics! I have always favored the AFX cars. I believe it is because many of the car bodys look mild &"streetable"..

Enjoy! Walt

AFX cars were my favorite growing up as well. In fact they are probably my favorite now, I really like the way they slide around the corners.

Hey there 1970elcamino! you have some super cool stuff there! I have one of those Sizzlers track sets as well, mine came with the Mach 5 and the GRX from the original Speed Racer show. My son has that same Tank Battle game too. I used to have one of those Turbo Train sets as well. I found mine in the trash when I used to haul trash for a living. It came up missing when my wife and I were in the process of moving from one town to another. I wish i still had it though. But I found some stuff that is just as cool as the turbo set. One is a US-1 Trucking set I found at a flea market along with most of the Army train pieces, which my son adores. But I will say again, you have some awsome stuff here!
