That's an interesting drive system Ken. Although I'm left wondering where the couplers go!

I don't know why, but I can vividly picture these locomotives in Union Pacific paint. UP had a few E7's in fact.

I say go for it, Ken. Those Hobbytown E units will pull stumps! You'll no doubt need to replace the shaft with rubber couplings between the trucks with the better Hobbytown style sliding universals, which are available from Micro-Mark.

I don't think the rubber couplings ever worked well, but they'll be dry-rotted after all of these years. A quick fix is to replace them with silicone RC fuel line tubing.
