From the used bin at a local hobby shop, it's had Kadees and upgraded wheelsets installed by a previous owner...

Hi Shaygetz,
I like the GE car! Is it a Tyco? My CotW is a half box car half flat car by Cox that the Great One gave me for Christmas this year. I had never seen one of these before and it is only my second Cox car. It is like brand new but it came in a long Tyco brown box.

It is a Tyco and I do want to put horn/hooks back on it when I find a pair.
That Cox car is great, I like it a lot.

I just picked this up...I can't remember seeing one here before. It's a Tyco log transporter with a single 'spine' connecting the two truck ends, which are a lime green plastic. It comes with 3 logs and some metal chain to tie them down. Paid $6 for it unused in box, which I thought was fair.

Hello "mytyco", I rescued the same flat without the car and added a funny car instead...

Hi Mike,
I feel very lucky to have the car with the Cox car. Yours is in great condition too. I like the car you added.

| Sweet car, Mike...I believe they were unique to the UP and were affectionately refereed to as "Pig Palaces".

Thanks, it did not look like a "stock car" I am used to seeing.

| I always appreciated that about AHM, they put out the truly unique cars for us little folk who couldn't afford brass.

Yes it is a sweet car. As a matter of fact, I have one of these cars as well, and it too is a Union Pacific car.

There should also be a small black weight that rests across the spine, between the ends. My MIB examples have all included this. I think the "spine" may actually be the chassis from the open hopper. But I like the end platforms; the see-through grilles were pretty nice and ahead of their time. This car also exists in Brown Box as well.

Two decks, with short vertical clearances... ugh. Not only would it send PETA into conniptions, I have no shortage of pity for the poor schlubs who had to clean those things in real life.
