Hey Gents:

As you undoubtedly noticed the "Looking for some input thread..." has been locked by me.

It seemed to be a source of soreness and hurt feelings. I thought it was about to trickle out, but it didn't, and since there seems to be no end in sight and nothing constructive to be added, I locked it.

I was moved by the fact that a member had suggested they felt injured by the comments and likely would stop posting to the forum, hence I acted.

I'm not interested in debating this in public. If you feel I have commited some grave transgression PM or email me. Any public comments will be deleted.

Appeals of course go up, and that would be to NYC.

I hope you won't think i was unfair or callous in my actions.

pax,
Gareth

Good call Gareth. The thread played itself out, nothing good could come of it at that point, ended on a peaceful note, just let it die.

I just want to apologize for even starting the whole thing...I had no idea it would take on a life of its own...well at least I learned that ebay threads are volatile and have no place here,it was a good move locking the thread Gareth.

I just want to say that, although I don't post near as much on this site as I probably should, one of the best things about this site is that, with an occasional exception, everybody here is both supportive of each other and generally polite. Trust me, I do subscribe to other train/hobby sites and have found the people here to be some of the nicest people you are going to find in the train hobby, if not on the 'net in general!

I really don't think most people here are going to condemn the tread in question being locked - in fact, from what I've seen so far, most everybody here is just embarassed by the whole thing!

Cheers!
