Does anyone know when "Airslide" hoppers went into use?

I believe the first HO-Scale example of an Airslide Hopper came from Con-Cor in the '60s. It's the car they recently re-issued.

saw the website &  just Love the cars Kinda like billboard cars  but I hope there are ways to change the couplers to the old style
