I played with Photoshop tonight and made a few new Avatars for the site. If you click on Avatar Legend at the top of the forum pages you will see what's "publicly" available for you to use. If you see one you like go to your profile and choose it as your avatar. Drop a note here in this topic and I can reserve it for you. I'll take requests for roadnames and see what I can find that will work well. I'm making them all transparent gifs so they look pretty good on these forums regardless of skin.
PS- Please don't try and reserve an avatar for the sole reason you think it looks cool. For instance, the SF Chief Avatar looks cool as heck to me, but I'm not a SF buff, I'd rather a true SF fan get that.

Done. I might still fool with this one a bit. The outer lettering looks great on a light background color but needs a bit of adjustment on the dark background.

That would look a lot better if the original were square in shape. It's getting squashed. It actually looks good the way it's supposed to look, which is like this.

Exquese me ther NYC, but you are making custom avatars per request, correct? I'm having a little trouble following whether people are asking you to make an avatar, or let them use one you've made already. *AHEM*
In any case, I'd love to have this as my avatar, it's a local line from waaay back...

Oh, the name is Intercolonial Railway.

Take your pick. Guess which one I like better?

If you like the 2nd one I can redo it again at another time, there's a few flaws in it. Just throwing it out there for design.

Ahh, very much appreciated NYC!
In all honesty, I prefer the 1st one you posted. I like the simpler look. BUT, if you wouldn't mind making the inside part of the circle white, it'd be perfect...pretty pretty please.
Thanks, upon further review I think the first one is just great!

Hi NYC,
Those are really cool avatars you are doing. If you are still up to doing some, I would like the old Florida East Coast Flagler System. It is round and has an Indian Woman a ship and the sunrise I believe. I guess it comes in two shades, kind of faded and real colorful. I like the colorful ones.
If not, Thats cool.
Thanks Mike

Tyco Nut I can redo that blue Tyco logo for you real nice later tonight. MyTyco, I see Ken put up a graphic but there is no Indian woman as you mentioned. I can do a bunch more of these this evening if you guys put up some good graphics. Try and find 2 if possible, sometimes the format and quality affect just how much I can do with these. I'd say half the time I'm spending right now is just trying to find the right graphics to work with. You guys can save me a bunch of time. I don't mind doing them, it's rewarding when done and it's definately dressing up the forums a bit. As Romcat said, "classy".
I'll be back on tonight. I'm hosting Thanksgiving tomorrow so I'll be busy all day today getting whatever can be done the day before out of the way.

Like Ken, I couldn't find the one with an Indian woman. Ehh, it's still pretty nice though, the sunset is quite attractive.

Hi All,
OMG! I have lost my mind! I mixed up my Beloved Florida flag symbol with my Beloved FEC symbol. I miss my home state so much. Anyway, I can't seem to find a good logo so the one Ken posted will be fine with the nice deep colors.
Thanks guys! Mikie
