MB - Will do a boxcar for you in red glitter. If you are going to purchase one try to get a 50 footer from Athearn MDC or Life-Like. These work best for Christmas cars. The decorations i order direct as they are hard to find. Tell me what you want and i can do it for you - Note - The Peace and Birds /Stars are hard to get and i am out right now.
ShayGetz - Thank you - I had more fun watching the crowds and kids. The club members all smiled when the kids would see the Christmas train and club trains and get excited jumping up and down and pointing. The 2 black women i filmed chasing the Christmas Train to photograph were fun to watch and very nice to talk to.

Brian, You may have created the first "Christmas Train" video for You Tube. This would be a great story for some TV station to cover the train and the children's reaction. I smiled most of the way through the video. Atta Boy Brian!!!

Superb work sir! Looks really good going around there, especially in contrast to that big ol' steamer. Really neat to see "the other side" of a public layout too.
I'm officially "jealous" now... if there's one thing I'm sorely missing here in central KY, it's a modular/club HO display layout. Everyone here uses N scale for that. Really great that you can share your work and bring inspiration and joy to others... all my stuff is stuck in the basement. Grrr.
Congrats and great job!

That was great, Brian. It's obvious the Christmas train was an eye-catcher, and the kids were a riot to watch. That Atlas/Roco SD24 predates all of them by about 2 decades.
All you needed was GIC's transparent disco-strobe F7 pulling its consist on the other mainline.
I can just hear some unaware club member after the holidays: "Uh, guys, why is there glitter in the ballast?"
Edit: Oops, I should have said "SD35."

Thank you all for comments - This video has bombarded me with personal messages of praises similar to all of you. I am taking my time to answer all. Response has been overwhelming and more than i ever imagined. I have added an working blue strobe bar in which a new video will be filmed on Friday evening at Grand Opening of Stowe Botanical Gardens Christmas Lights display. The strobes are bright and should really catch the kids eyes. It is great joy to me that this has brought joy to many others as well especially the kids - you can't buy that kind of excitement. AS LoopnHook said - i too haven"t seen those looks of AWE in a long time at train show layout exhibitons as i did at this Christmas Show.
