I've been meaning to post this. My layout started out as a father-daughter project, but it quickly became apparent that our attention spans and tastes didn't match. Therefore, she got her own layout:

She actually made the mountain herself, with help. This picture is more organized and sensible than it usually looks. It's usually a whirlwind of buildings and rolling stock. Oh, and the buildings get frequent repainting. There's probably a half inch of acrylic paint on the water tower already. Pretty much anything I get in auction lots and don't want goes to her layout...after her "special" paint job.
We still run the "big" layout together, I just don't let her paint it. Oh, and don't miss the mountaintop homes. She's proud of those.

I really like the house up on the top of the layout - looks like you have a lot of fun with her. Aren't these things SUPPOSED to be that much fun?

Nice layout. I like the house on the mountain, too. Nice backdrop, too. Maybe I can get my daughter to paint a backdrop for my layout.
