I went "photo-happy" today and took a bunch of pics of part of my OO collection. I figured I'd share with the group:
American "OO"
An early Aristo-Craft import 0-4-0 at the head of my small collection of Norfolk & Ohio cars (yes, the loco is suffering from serious "casting-rot" but still runs fine):
3 pics of early kit-built OO cars - I've committed the sacrilege of placing HO trucks on them (making them, in effect, "American OO/HO") - so at least I can give them some occasional running time:

Scratch-built "drover's" caboose:

The above cars are survivors of the late Carl Appel's Norfolk & Ohio OO layout - here's a photo (with the above caboose) scanned from an old Model Railroader:

My Mantua Classics 2-6-6-2 articulated logger:

British "OO"
Hornby/Tri-ang "Flying Scotsman":

Wren 2-6-4t:

Hornby "County of Bedford"

Dapol Class 56:

Hornby Class 3Ft with Wrenn freight vans and a Hornby/Tri-ang brake van:

Hornby "Princess Elizabeth"

and finally - what us fans of British outline equipment usually have to settle for on this side of the pond (Bachmann/"Thomas" "Sodor Fuel" tank wagon)":

oh - and that's a Hornby phone box sitting on the platform of my vintage Marx tin station...

*gets the Jealousy Monster on my head* yeah I's jealous of your UK locos but on that Camelback casting-rot Hope you don't run it too often It looks like if you hit another loco or any hard object it might crumble

Awesome collection. I like that caboose. That first engine is kinda neat looking too. I know it's not a good thing, but in the pic it kinda looks like lightning bolts were painted on

Carl Appel's Norfolk & Ohio was featured in the August 1948 and November 1958 issues of Model Railroader - and the Nov 58 was re-printed in Classic Articles from Model Railroader in 1980.
Here's a couple links to the American OO blog:

Yeah - I go the cars from a guy at a Greenburg's Show in Chantilly, VA a few years ago (you know how you spot something, and for reasons unknown have to take a second look to realize just what you're seeing). The kicker was the caboose - I somehow recalled the photo from the "Classic Articles" and grabbbed it before I realized just what I had in hand (yep - pure collecting luck, for once).
Anyway - one of the interesting things about the caboose is the lighting system. Instead of track pick-ups, there's a spot for a 9 volt battery with an on/off switch on board and "grain of wheat" lights installed (unfortunatelty, the bulbs are all burned-out - I am planning to replace them though).
