Okay - ignoring for a moment that some loony person has been trying to sell a Renwal House Afire for over $1000.00 on eBay for years - I just watched a LifeLike McDonalds sealed HO kit go for $262.
I will admit, I paid a good penny for mine which was mint sealed and another that I built which was an open box ... and felt a little stupid for spending what I did. But almost $300 for a single kit that has (IMHO) kind of mediocre quality parts (that sometimes didn't fit or were warped or were just plain missing due to LifeLike's early QA issues) ... I guess that's a sign the economy is picking up. Someone has disposal income. :^) And I don't feel so bad for spending money (nowhere near that much by any stretch of the imagination) on mine.
