More like "cars" (plural) this week...
In the early 70's, Tyco did a run of promotional cars stocked into the #339 50' boxcar series. These initial cars all share one common trait: Blue graphics on a white car.
One of them made the transition from redbox to brownbox. Two of them are almost identical, save for swapping which side the data is on and changing the promo graphic. Two of them are for mnajor appliance companies, one quickly following the other. To further differentiate them, Tyco finally adds a blue roof - and the data from the first run of Bicentennial boxcars.
339-C Penny's (JC Penny) 339-F Quaker 339-G Whirlpool (yes this box is labeled) 339-K Westinghouse
(Some may note I skipped 339-H Stokely's. That's because it was red over yellow, poorly made, and absolutely hideous.)

I have both the Purina ( for a future Pets train consist , I have the red/white/blue boxcars, the tuscan red and bright red boxcars, and both the dog and cat chows boxcars ), and now two of the Kelvinator ( to go with my AMC automobile consist, as American Motors once owned Kelvinator, the Applicance giant president became the CEO of AMC in the '50's, which is why AMC got involved with Kelvinator to begin with ). Like'em alot!

Here's a picture of the Westinghouse car. Information is the same on both sides of the car. The box I have is not marked - don't know if it's original or not. I LOVE the fantasy and promotional cars. I have a few, and have a wantlist of the ones I want.
