Here's something Martin might like. I got this Flatcar and crane together. But, after checking the catalogs it seems that they did not come together. as best as i cen figure they are from the 1960's. Heres some pictures of them.

You're right, these two pieces did not come together. The crane seems to have been painted, usually it it blue with gray boom and it rides on his own 12-wheel chassis.
The flatcar was either loaded wigh orange girders or a green Generator.

Now that's a heavy duty crane.  Very interesting that they did not come together, they seem to suit one another quite well.

Here is the original Fleischmann crane (Set)! Usualy the car in front to the right carries the weights for the crane.  - Erich
