Thanks Ken! On this festival there are not only trains. Here are the locomobiles and steam lorries and cars...

You know this guy?

This engine with vertical boiler is sized 1:2 (half size)

Steampowered car

Here's how they were working with steam locomobiles and tractors.

Funny Link Ken! Mayober, Junember, Augustruary, Septober, Octember...
Someday I'll go to the Dorset Fair, must be much bigger than the one on the IOW.

I never cared for European trains of any kind....and still don't.
Steam ,diesel ,electric....old or new....fast or slow.
But I just have to say that those steamed powered trucks...(I know lorries) are the most magnificent things I have ever seen !!!!
I would love to borrow one of them to take to my clubs annual antique truck show !
Thanks for posting them Martin !!!

I spy disc brakes on that steam powered car. They must have been added for safety.
I just finished watching one of my favourite films, The Gold Rush, and log on to see you've posted a picture of a Chaplin impersonator. Funny how that worked out. Who could forget this classic scene? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yo6VT_kMiFI
