I waited to long to type this, so its August 9th here by at least a half hour...time for a another CotW post I guess
Been itching for some tankers. A run by a local hobby store yielded this Bachmann. I've reached the conclusion after my first train show that hobby stores charge way to much for stuff lol. Still, it came with kadee's & metal wheels and was one of the cheaper things on the shelf. And it has the older look I wanted so that works!

A kitbash this week...my clearance car, made to NMRA specs by matching the whiskers to their gauge.

Looks great Architrains...
I have quite a few of the tractor and piggyback flat cars, but I did not realize that the flooring brackets were different to hold the truck cabs.

Whats funny shaygetz was before I read what you typed my first thought was "Hmm...kinda looks like a rolling NMRA gauge" since I just picked one up lol. That's a ice breaker car for going through tunnels isn't it?
architrains - we have a ton of those flat cars running around my friends layout. Most all of them are now log hauling cars, but they work great.

Hello All-- Having just obtained a few TycoKit aluminum undecorated baggage cars (same as Mantua's, but sold as TycoKit), I decided to paint one in one of my favorite looks--It's Missouri Pacific's simplified scheme, late 60's-early 70's just before Amtrak. It's very simple but quite striking, I think. The pic could be better, but basically just blue with white stripe and Mopac herald in the center (Striping and herald are decals from a Mopac diesel set).
