Got this car last week, like it very much because of its simple outfit.

Neat. Looks like it's in excellent condition. Have you ever been to a Penneys store? I know you're not in the US. We have one a mile from the house. I'd like to get a Sears Roebuck car. I think Brianstyco has some of those. I'm guessing that was formerly a mold from another maker, like Life Like or Marx maybe Model Power.

I uncovered this Penneys box car in one of my collection boxes a few days ago. I think this one came from a local train show in Columbus, Ohio. Interesting piece...

Hey Busss, How about Woolyworths!! One of my favorites! As many of you know, Woolworth was my shopping grounds for HO trains in the 1970s!!

Yes Choocin, I believe Tyco made both the short sliding door and the longer Penneys box cars.

Varney also made some train sets for stores. " MAY'S DEPARTMENT STORE" For me what I like about it is that it is a Pennsylvannia railroad box car.

All The May's Stores were on Long Island, New York. I had been to all of them. There was a story at a website about a Truck that was in the basement accress area, where the Massapequa store had been. When they rebuilt the mall it was built over in the basement delivery area. Now it is there rusting away, can't get it out. Carl
Here are some pictures of it in the basement.

Well, if college kids can disassemble a Volkswagen and reassemble it in a classroom, I'm sure someone can do the same for that truck.
