Never seen that one before. Interesting find, in the box, too.

Thanks NC shortlines, according to Tony Cook's site on Cox trains it says:

"Nearly every manufacturer seems to have some unique items in the form of specialty and/or promotional train sets. To date, I know of only one for the COX line. The Robin Hood set was produced for a Canadian grocery store company. The set featured unique and exclusively decorated items made from various models in the existing COX line."

Thanks to Tony's website as soon as I saw it, I knew what it was.

Hey Mike. I like look of that engine. What grocery store was this sold through? Did Robin Hood own a grocery store chain at some point?

Alco Fan, it was a little bit of both. You know, one of those "well you don't see that everyday!"

DaCheez, I'm not sure. One of the other cars that were available in the set was a Bicks Pickles Piggyback trailer on a flat car. I am wondering if Multifoods Limited was owner of a grocery store chain or the owning of Robin Hood Flour and others like Bicks...

Correct. Bicks Pickles, Markham, Ontario, is a division of MultiFoods.

I just got this Robin Hood Flour tanker. It is not mentioned as being in the set. Found it within two weeks of finding the engine...

I've got the whole set selling on e-bay if anyone is interested.... forgot it had been in my basement all these years - we used it once, and then packed it away. Just search for it on ebay, or follow the link.

What a set. I have a Cox, and its durability and function
amazes me. I’ve run the deuces out of it, and it shows no
fatigue.
