There is a railroad theme restaurant in Carrboro, NC, called Southern Rail. One dining area and the bar are converted heavy weight passenger cars. The main dining area is a building constructed between the two cars. One interesting aspect of this restaurant; it is on two sidings owned by the Norfolk Southern, with an active track adjacent one of the dining cars. Here is a photo of an NS loco, GP38, I think, that passed by while we were eating. The food is good, slightly high price for the amount you get. By the way, entrance to the restaurant is through a bay window caboose.
Unspoken expectations are premeditated failures.

o.k. You don't go through the caboose, but along side it to go in the restaurant.

I remember eating at a similar trackside station restaurant in Georgia when I was a kid. The dining area was inside an old SOU diner parked on the tracks next to the station.
I'm not sure what town it was - maybe Valdosta???
