Here are some things I bought at a train show last year. A RailPower C32-8. $5.00 I have stripped the paint and have decals for the Ballast Express scheme.
Some AHM GP18 shells, Western Pacific. $1.00 each. Notice that some of the shells still have the bell. I think the bell is the first thing that gets broken on these locos.

Unspoken expectations are premeditated failures.

Neat stuff, do you plan on running them all end to end? That'll look cool, but would take a lot of juice to run!

A lot of jucie???.... I think the lights in the house would dim. No, I'm not going to power the geeps. Keep them for display or maybe sell a couple on ebay. The C32 I might post some progress pictures. I have the Detail Associates wire mesh grilles and a few other detail parts. This is kind of a first for me, using metal detail parts. So we will see how it goes.

I've been a bit curious about using metal details myself, seems like an odd thing to do with a plastic shell.

Good luck, and remember to let us know how the C32-8 turns out. I didn't know they made a model of that particular locomotive, only 10 were built!

A more recent train show purchase.... I went to the Golden Spike train show in Charlotte a couple of weekends ago. There is a vendor who drives up from Florida. He has some good stuff at decent prices. He had two MDC , 2-8-0 outside frame locos. One had extra detailing, the other was basic. Both looked practically new. Got the pair for $45.00. They run very nice. I think they have been remotored. Sorry, no photos at this time.

Also, got an Athearn Trainmaster, dummy chassis for $2.oo. I'm planning on using the trucks for my Tyco N&W C630.
